Special Olympics Unified Soccer Coach
ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics PA
Please visit the new page to apply.
Experience the joy of Special Olympics as the head coach for our Unified Soccer team! Head coaches lead and organize their team of athletes and volunteers to create a comprehensive sport training program. Unified teams are sports teams in which people with and without intellectual disabilities train and compete together.
While soccer knowledge/experience is helpful, we also offer coach training opportunities and resources, and our current coaches can provide some training and guidance to help you get acclimated.
Soccer practice starts in August/September and runs until November, with some opportunities for competition throughout the season. Practice takes place in Bethlehem. If you are interested, we hope that you can join us as an assistant coach for the remainder of this year's season, and then take over as Unified head coach next year.
Volunteers are asked to complete our registration form and background check. For more information or to register, please reach out to us at volunteer@specialolympicspa.org. Thank you!
