Senior Friendship Centers is seeking volunteers in the Fort Meyers area to help us deliver groceries to home bound seniors to support senior nutrition and wellness . Volunteers pick up packed bags and make deliveries once per month to seniors at their homes.

SCHEDULE: Monthly, one shift during the 3 rd week of the month, on a Mon - Sat.

LOCATION: 12734 Kenwood Lane Fort Myers Florida 33907

SUPERVISOR: Friendship at Home Coordinator - Lee County

DUTIES:

• Pick up packed grocery bags from the SFC Fort Meyers office and load into personal vehicle.
• Deliver to designated clients, generally 3 to 5 homes.
• Engage and chat with delivery clients as you make deliveries.
• Communicate with staff coordinator regarding any issues of missed deliveries or concerns about clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow SFC guidelines and policies.
• Requires use of personal vehicle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with seniors.
• Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Friendly, flexible, able to handle changes, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.
