Recruiting Organization: Gay Men's Health Crisis

We are looking for volunteers to support the GMHC meal service program. You will do a variety of tasks, as assigned by the volunteer manager. This may include serving the meal from behind the line (cafeteria style), assisting clients with mobility issues, bussing tables and/or general clean-up at the end of the service.

The shift available:

  • Every Week or Every Other Week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday.
  • 11:00am to 2:00pm is ideal but we may be able to offer a shorter shift within that time frame.
  • Minimum of 3-4 months commitment.

Prior to being confirmed, the following steps will need to be completed:

  • Attend a zoom GMHC volunteer orientation.
  • Complete the volunteer application and pledge of confidentiality.
  • Complete a background check. This does require providing your SSN to the online background check system.

All positions will take place onsite at 307 West 38th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue.
