About Community Warehouse

Location:

3969 NE Martin Luther King Blvd, Portland, OR 97212, US

Mission Statement

Life is better when a house is a home. Home is at the center of every person’s well-being and livelihood. We believe there are enough beds, blankets, pots and pans, and furnishings circulating in our community for everyone. Our furniture bank mission is to connect these furnishings to our neighbors in need, creating stronger home foundations and brighter futures.

Description

Community Warehouse is Portland's only non-profit furniture bank. We receive donations of gently used furniture and household items, and redistribute them to neighbors in need in our community.

Community Warehouse works in partnership with over 200 local non-profit and social service agencies. These agencies screen and refer individuals and families in need of basic household items to Community Warehouse. Clients include domestic violence survivors, individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness, elderly persons on limited incomes, people with mental and physical disabilities, refugee families from all over the world, youth and adults recovering from substance abuse, and low-income individuals and families.
