All Aboard! Volunteers are needed in the Brookside Gardens' Conservatory for the popular Garden Railway exhibit.
The exhibit runs seven days a week, from November 30th through January 5th (Closed December 25th and January 1st).
Shifts are: 10:00am-1:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm
We're looking for individuals who enjoy engaging with a wide array of visitors to enhance their experience as they visit this magical Brookside tradition.
Duties Include: greet and answer questions from visitors; engage children in a fun visual scavenger hunt; help to communicate rules to keep the exhibit safe and enjoyable for all; and occasionally assist staff with upkeep of the exhibit space.
We request that volunteers sign up for at least two shifts during this event. Must successfully pass background screening.

Brookside Gardens is an extraordinary and inspiring cultivated landscape. Through beautifully designed gardens, diverse learning opportunities, and an engaging staff, we motivate our visitors to take action in their own lives and landscapes to appreciate and care for the plants around them.
Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County's incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden situated within Wheaton Regional Park. Included in the gardens are several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children's Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk. The Formal Gardens areas include a Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, the Maple Terrace, and Fragrance Garden. Brookside Gardens also feature two conservatories for year-round enjoyment. A horticultural reference library is located in the airy Visitors Center. Admission to the gardens is free.
