Come help us keep the shores of Barren River Lake clean as we celebrate the 37th annual Lakeshore Cleanup Day at Barren River Lake! This important community event is your opportunity to pitch in and help make a difference. You'll spend the morning being shuttled around the shoreline by volunteers, bagging and collecting trash. Around 11:30 we will all make our way to the Barren River Lake State Park beach for a volunteer celebration picnic with free food and great prizes. Volunteers are encouraged to go to www.friendsofbarrenriverlake.com to print volunteer forms in advance or may register on the morning of the cleanup. We will meet at 8:00 at the following boat ramps: Bailey's Point, The Narrows, Port Oliver, State Park, or Walnut Creek. Groups with children must pre-register to obtain volunteer forms for parental signatures prior to the event. Call us at 270-646-2055 or email Holly.L.Myers@usace.army.mil for more info or to register. Don't miss your chance to enjoy a day outside in the sun for a worthy cause! Hope to see you there!
