A 56-year-old woman with ALS would like a volunteer to assist her around the house with cleaning, organizing, and various chores. Her schedule is quite flexible: any day of the week will work at any time of day. She is ideally looking for someone to visit once a month for 1-2 hours and does have a dog in her home.

If you have an extra hour or two each month to help a neighbor in need, we'd love to hear from you! This opportunity is part of the ALS Association's Family Assistance Program:

Description

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
