BINA FARM CENTER

BINA Farm Center (BINA) brings together individuals with and without special needs by offering a variety of inclusive enrichment programs that help them both thrive personally and contribute to the communities in which they live. BFC provides a comprehensive therapeutic and recreational environment utilizing Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies, Vocational Training Programs, and Creative and Complementary Therapies for children and adults with physical, developmental, and emotional challenges.

Barn Help

Experienced and reliable volunteers with strong horse care knowledge are a great bonus. Duties include, but are not limited to, mucking stalls, turn in/out, watering/feeding, and general barn and facility maintenance. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older. Shifts are generally available 8 AM-5 PM Monday through Sunday.

Programming Volunteers

Reliable volunteers for volunteering with therapeutic and recreational riding lessons and occupational and physical therapy sessions are a must. Duties include helping get horses ready before lessons, grooming, tacking up, and leading the horse, assisting with games during the lesson, sidewalking to help keep the rider safe, and helping to create an environment where the participant feels included, influential, and successful. Volunteers ideally must be able to commit to the same day and time each week for the 8-10 week session. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.
