Celebrate the freedom to read by volunteering at this community Banned Book Bash hosted by Fitts Park Little Free Library! This event celebrates equitable book access and features kid, teen, and adult crafts, prizes, a book talk, and a stone art reveal.
Volunteers are needed to assist with set up, art activities during the event, and break down at the end of the event.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Set up: Carry event supplies from the parking area to the pavilion and set up for the event.
- During the event: Help kids with art supplies during craft activities.
- Break down: Carry event supplies from the pavilion back to the parking area and help load items into cars.
Time Required: You can choose a shift that works for your schedule, or volunteer the whole time.
Support: Little Free Library steward & event host Jai will be running the event. Jai will guide volunteers and answer questions.

Description
There are 60+ Little Free Libraries in Santa Cruz. Volunteers can support our mission by distributing books to Little Free Libraries, coordinating a book drive to benefit Little Free Libraries, or assisting with the periodic updating of our map of Little Free Library locations.

- Friendly & helpful. Able to lift and carry items a short distance. Wear comfortable clothing that can be around art activities - clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty.
