Hygiene items are highly requested essentials and need to be easy to store in a backpack. Volunteers can fill a bag with essential products tailored to either dental health or overall hygiene health.
Community volunteers are invited to create kits that can be distributed at our service centers around the Twin Cities Metro area.
Suggested Items:
· Toothbrush
· Toothpaste
· Shampoo & Conditioner
· Soap/Body Wash
· Comb
· Deodorant
· Razor
· Shaving cream/gel
Once assembled, contact Sarah from the Volunteer Relations Team at sarah.skaret@usc.salvationarmy.org to let us know the quantity and to coordinate an in-person drop off at one of our locations (Monday-Friday 9 am-4 pm). If you are interested in assembling kits as a group and would like to coordinate with a Salvation Army representative, we would be happy to meet with you at your location or one of our service centers. Please let us know, and we can discuss the details further.
Please note: This is a virtual volunteering opportunity with the expectation that completed kits will be dropped off by the volunteer to one of our service centers in the Twin Cities Metro area. If you live outside of the Twin Cities and would like to still participate, shipping is an option (at the volunteer's expense).
