Position Overview:

The Fundraising Strategist Assistant Volunteer will be instrumental in supporting the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the organization’s fundraising efforts. This role involves creating innovative fundraising plans, identifying potential sources of support, and driving initiatives to secure and increase financial contributions. You will work closely with the Executive Director and other key stakeholders to advance our mission through effective fundraising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the organization’s financial goals. Contribute to creating detailed plans for donor engagement, campaigns, and events.
  • Opportunity Identification: Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, individual donors, and corporate partnerships. Develop targeted approaches to engage these prospects.
  • Campaign Management: Support the planning and management of fundraising campaigns, including online campaigns, events, and direct appeals. Ensure campaigns are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Donor Relations: Help build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. Assist in crafting compelling proposals, letters, and presentations to communicate the organization’s needs and impact.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze trends and best practices in fundraising to identify new opportunities and improve existing strategies. Stay informed about developments in the non-profit sector and arts community.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on fundraising activities, outcomes, and progress toward goals. Present findings and recommendations to the Executive Director and the leadership team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director, marketing, and communications staff to ensure that fundraising efforts align with overall organizational strategies and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fundraising, development, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising strategies and techniques, including donor engagement and campaign management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and persuade stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software for managing donor information.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting the organization’s mission and goals.
