Welcome to River of Life!

Starting in October we will be offering an afternoon youth group for students in Julington Creek Plantation. Because Wednesdays are an early release day for all middle school and high school students, we welcome students to spend their afternoons in community with us here at River of Life UMC.

The group offers students a safe place to complete homework, enjoy snacks and group activities, and participate in a short devotional designed to help strengthen the community around these kids.

Volunteers would provide additional support to the Director and participate in group activities and relationship-building with students. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and complete the Child Protection Policy training before participating.

We are a United Methodist Church, however, we offer groups to all students regardless of religious affiliation. As an affirming church, we believe that all members of our community deserve to hear God's word regardless of race, gender, and sexual orientation. We expect our volunteers to hold the same space for our students and community.

Group Schedule:

  • October - May
  • Every 2nd & 4th Wednesday unless the school is out on a break
  • 1:30-3:00 pm
