Join Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the White River Alliance to help clean litter and debris from stormwater inlets in the Fountain Square Neighborhood--and protect and preserve an important natural resource of Central Indiana--Pleasant Run! Cleaning litter from stormwater inlets helps improve our water quality while protecting our waterways, local wildlife, and ecosystems from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Waders will be available for those who want to get in the water to help pick up litter.
Parking + Facilities: Parking and restrooms will be available in the Goodwill Parking Lot at 1260 Shelby St Indianapolis, IN 46203. If the parking lot fills up, volunteers may have to street park along nearby streets in the surrounding neighborhood.
