Position Overview:

The Program Leader of the Virtual Mentorship Program will oversee the planning, implementation, and execution of the mentorship initiative. This role involves guiding the program’s mentors and mentees, ensuring smooth operations, and driving the success of the program’s objectives. The leader will also be responsible for fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and community impact, aligned with the Global Birthday Project’s mission of spreading kindness and empowerment through action.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Management:

    • Oversee the design, structure, and curriculum of the Virtual Mentorship Program.
    • Ensure that all program activities, from onboarding to final presentations, are conducted smoothly.
    • Set and track program goals and outcomes to ensure the success of mentors and mentees.
  2. Mentor and Mentee Coordination:

    • Recruit and train mentors, ensuring they understand the program’s goals, expectations, and best mentoring practices.
    • Manage the mentor-mentee matching process to ensure compatibility and success.
    • Provide ongoing support to mentors and mentees, including conflict resolution, progress tracking, and feedback.
  3. Mentorship Development:

    • Organize and facilitate bi-weekly virtual mentorship sessions, ensuring a valuable learning experience for mentees.
    • Offer guidance and direction to mentors on how to effectively support their mentees’ leadership development and project execution.
    • Host group activities, guest speaker sessions, and collaborative discussions for participants.
  4. Communication and Support:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for all mentors and mentees, providing clear communication and timely responses to queries.
    • Regularly check in with mentors and mentees to provide assistance, encouragement, and feedback.
  5. Resource Development:

    • Develop and update mentorship resources, including toolkits, learning materials, and project planning guides.
    • Coordinate with guest speakers and experts to participate in the mentorship program’s virtual sessions.
  6. Program Evaluation and Reporting:

    • Conduct mid-program and final evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the mentorship program.
    • Compile and report on program metrics, feedback, and success stories to organizational leadership.
    • Implement changes and improvements based on feedback and evaluations.
