Sanctuary One, if you're not familiar, is a care farm in the Applegate helping people, animals and the Earth.

In a nutshell: we provide animal and garden therapy to people, and since all our animals are rescues, the people are giving therapy to the animals too. Everything we grow in our gardens we donate to ACCESS food bank.

Open Farm Day, is our annual must-attend event happening Saturday October 26th, 2024. Since 2016 Open Farm Day has been an annual free fun-filled day at the care farm. Guests get to explore the property, meet the animals, visit the gardens, and enjoy the farm with us.

Open Farm Day is an opportunity to participate in the larger community, engage with Rogue Valley neighbors, and make a positive impact on the world around us. To serve our community with this free event, we need volunteers!!

*14-17 year olds can volunteer with an adult for this event.

(Regular Sanctuary One volunteers can be under 14.)

Mission Statement

Sanctuary One is a care farm where people, animals, and the earth work together for mutual healing.

Description

A care farm provides an ideal environment in which to learn and practice the art of care giving in a way that also transforms the caregiver.
