Description

EcoAction Arlington is a unique, local, grassroots environmental education and service organization that has served the Arlington community for decades.

We are a small nonprofit, whose mission is to educate, advocate, and act to create a sustainable community by improving our natural environment, encouraging environmentally-friendly behaviors, ensuring environmental justice, and addressing the climate crisis. We promote a greener community by effectively mobilizing our neighbors and business leaders to address issues such as addressing climate change, reducing habitat destruction, and protecting our natural resources.

Our focus on engaging local citizens in environmental stewardship and creating green lifestyles distinguishes EcoAction Arlington from other environmental education and service organizations.

We believe in...

  • Serving as stewards of the air, land, and water for current and future generations, acknowledging the historical role played by the original native peoples of this area
  • Reflecting the diversity of our county, and striving for equitable access to a healthy environment
  • Focusing on local grassroots efforts and solutions to deliver tangible results
