Make it a special day with Notes of Encouragement! We all love cards & special greetings. However, our youth usually do not receive mail that is positive & uplifting. Your notes will be given to the youth at our events to bless, uplift & raise the self-esteem of our youth.

Major Responsibilities

  • Inspirational Quotes

Materials - You can use any card you prefer.

  • Plain cardstock
  • Colored paper
  • Markers, colored pencils, and/or stickers
  • Organizations are welcome to use cards that contain the organization's logo

Important Notes

  • Notes should not contain any personal information, such as names, address or phone number.
  • Notes should not contain inappropriate language or jokes

Mission Statement

Hope For Youth (in Houston) is committed to "presenting every youth complete in Christ" (Col. 1:28) by providing activities and programs designed for at-risk urban youth, and Christian adult volunteers who build relationships with the youth. All activities and programs are designed to offer salvation to the youth, opportunities for Christian growth, encouragement to become involved in a church, and hope and help in the areas of education, leadership development and racial reconciliation.

Description

Hope For Youth ministers to at-risk urban youth, ages 12 to 19. Many of the youth either live or have lived at Houston's Star of Hope homeless shelter. Others live in government or low rent apartments. Hope for Youth offers a variety of opportunities for youth, including: weekend activities, weekly group discipleship, and a week long bible school in the summer.
