Mission Statement

We raise funds to support the cancer care needs of the people of Ghana

Description

In a given year over 24000 people may be diagnosed with cancer in Ghana, over 15000 people will die from cancer. Due to the cost implications of treatment, persons diagnosed with the disease spent more time to pay for the cost of treatment, and that had increased the number of patients who returned to the hospital with advanced cases of the disease, making treatment very difficult.

Some cancer patients travel from the Northern Region, Afram Plains in the Eastern Region, and other faraway places to access medical care at the Komfo Anokye and Korle Bu Teaching hospitals which adds more cost to the burden of treatment.

The Adjah Cancer Support Ghana is the country’s largest cancer support organization, established in 2019, our primary focus is to better the quality of cancer support in Ghana and ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Our passion is to see those affected by cancer in this part of the world empowered with knowledge, resources and support to bring hope for the future. We therefore focus our energies on creating awareness, educating, giving valuable information, counseling and navigating our most valuable patients through the difficult facets of cancer. Whether you are newly diagnosed, caregiver, survivor, family or friend, we are here to support you.
