Mission Statement

Trotting Home Equine Rescue, Inc is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing horses from neglect, abuse, abandonment, and slaughter. We strive to improve the lives of horses by providing a safe haven for healing and rehabilitation, while working with our equine partners to educate, inspire, and improve the lives of horses and their humans.

Description

Trotting Home facilitates and oversees the entire rehabilitation process of seized neglected, abused, and abandoned horses. Each horse receives individualized and meticulous monitoring, evaluation, and care. Horses are then given extensive natural horsemanship training and adopted as either riding partners or companions. In our future we would like to offer onsite internships, Youth camps, Scout days, homeschool education series, field trips, and basic horse care classes.
We are reimagining the future of equine welfare as a culture of humane care and compassion for all equines. Every horse deserves kindness, and it’s our responsibility as a community of horse advocates to give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
