Position Title: Native Garden Steward

Supervisor : Violet Rogers-Stultz, Volunteer Coordinator

How to Apply :

Applicant Type: Adults, individuals, students (18 years or older), and anyone interested in connecting with the community more. Must be able to bend, lift, and kneel. Must be comfortable being outdoors in the sun and working independently without supervision. A knowledge of Oregon native plants is helpful.

Essential Position Functions:

· Garden Maintenance, including weeding, deadheading, and maintaining our three native garden beds.

· Planting activities (when necessary)

· Identify any hazards or unsafe conditions

· Identify any damaged or missing drip irrigation lines.

· Scout for pests and disease

· Use pre-emergent when necessary after weeding activities.

· Disposal of weeded materials into the Library dumpster and utilize buckets and hand tools as needed.

Location and Time Commitment:

Seasonally and weather dependent. Generally, March through October.
