Area Farmers Markets markets are overflowing with beautiful produce - exactly the type of food that is most needed by our nonprofit food pantry partners that serve communities located in the food deserts of Los Angeles. In these areas the residents have very limited access to the types of healthy fresh produce that is now abundant at the markets. We're working to assemble a team to help us recover leftover produce from the Sunday Farmers Market in Larchmont Village. This market ends around 1PM on Sundays so we would need help for around an hour or so on Sunday afternoons.
If this is something that you might be interested in helping with, please let us know and we will set up a call to discuss further.
