America On Track is looking for caring, responsible adults to mentor children of prisoners, ages 7 to 14, in our Brighter Futures for Children of Prisoners program. Imagine the hope you can bring to a child who faces overwhelming pressures and trials each day. Love, guidance and encouragement are what these children really need. The stability and friendship you offer is priceless. By spending 2-hours with them between 2 to 4 times per month, you have the potential to positively impact their entire life and keep them on the right track. So little time can make such a big difference. Give the gift of your time to a child who yearns to be loved.

Description
Since 2004, America On Track has been successfully implementing a unique and comprehensive Brighter Futures for Children of Prisoners program (one of many programs).
The program provides multi-faceted components that encompass the following: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) workshops, a "College Is For Me Too!" summer education camp, adult mentoring & training, nutrition education sessions, free age-appropriate books, special events and wrap-around services for the family.
This holistic approach helps children of prisoners set goals for the future to reduce potential involvement in the juvenile justice system and live rewarding lives.CAUSE AREAS
