Child Protection Volunteer Trainer

Stop Child Abuse (SCA) is seeking a dedicated volunteer to help empower our teams and children in the Kakuma Refugee Camps and Kalobeyei in Kenya.

This role is vital in promoting the rights and well-being of vulnerable children.The ideal volunteer will have a strong understanding of child protection principles and techniques focused on empowerment and resilience-building.

You will assist in training sessions for staff and volunteers, helping to equip them with the skills needed to support children facing various challenges.

Your contributions will help create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters children's self-advocacy and personal development.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of training modules on child empowerment techniques.
- Assisting in collaboration with local stakeholders to tailor programs to the unique needs of refugee children.
- Providing ongoing support to our teams in implementing best practices.

Our mission is to advocate for the protection of children's rights and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. We believe every child deserves a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they can grow and develop without fear or harm. Our primary focus is to raise awareness about the various forms of child abuse, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect. We strive to educate communities about the signs of abuse and the importance of reporting and preventing it. Our outreach programs aim to empower children, families, and communities with the knowledge and resources they need to protect themselves and each other.

Description

Stop Child Abuse (SCA) is a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of children at risk of abuse and neglect. Founded in 2016, SCA emerged from a deep concern for the growing incidence of child abuse in our communities.

Since our inception, SCA has evolved into a leading voice for child protection. We began with grassroots efforts to raise awareness and have since expanded our reach through partnerships with local organizations, schools, and government agencies.
