Campground Host - Lone Point Campground or Opossum Creek Campground

ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

This volunteer opportunity requires the daily operation of a Lake Shelbyville Campground Fee Booth. The campground fee booth is open 7 days a week for check in/check out and to provide information to campers. Schedule will be provided upon interest. A predetermined full hook-up campsite is provided in exchange for volunteer hours worked.


Duties : Answer visitor’s questions and provide any needed assistance. Perform clerical duties as needed. Open and close campground fee booth on a daily basis. Update information boards. Sweep and clean off sidewalks around fee booth when needed. Clean windows and doors when needed.

Description of Qualifications : Divers License to make campground runs. Some qualities we look for are reliable, positive, polite, dependable, hard-working, and team player. We hold our volunteers to high expectations to provide the best service for our visitors.
