ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The Admin Volunteer will be positioned at the Belton Lake front office reception area to assist walk-in visitors with questions, obtaining maps and brochures and for meeting with other office personnel. The volunteer will primarily answer phone and email communications, check mail daily, issue a variety of park passes, and assist lake staff with other office duties and communications. Secondary duties include daily park gate openings/closings, and cleaning/sanitation of park facilities and grounds. The services to be accomplished shall be performed by a 1- or 2-person team; each person must be at least 18 years of age. All positions will require a minimum of a 6-month term. Volunteer teams that can work with lake maintenance/cleaning staff are preferred. All positions will report to the Volunteer Coordinator but may be supervised by other staff members as duties occur. Volunteer teams are required to work a minimum of 24 hours a week OR 96 hours in a month in exchange for a campsite with utilities. Camping equipment must be in good condition and legally operated on state roads.
