We are seeking a dedicated volunteer intern to serve as a literary agent for a self-published children's illustrative book, currently available at major retailers like Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Kindle. This book not only inspires young readers but also supports a critical cause, with 50% of proceeds benefiting the Sam Sees Foundation, which provides financial assistance to teenagers struggling with mental health challenges.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Increase the book's reach and sales through targeted outreach efforts.
- Coordinate literary events and presentations in the Austin area, or organize virtual events where the book can be promoted.
- Develop and execute strategies to transition the book from a print-on-demand model to a traditional publishing house.
- Collaborate with the author to explore potential opportunities for broader exposure and distribution.

Sam Sees Foundation is a 503(c) Non-Profit Organization dedicated to the mission of spreading awareness and providing resources to teenagers/young adults with mental health struggles. Sam Sees Foundation provides funds to mental health research, spreads health resources, advocates for mental health, and supports families who are affected by teen suicide.
Description
The Sam Sees foundation donates 100% of its funds to 3 areas.
1. UT Austin Youth Mental Health Research
- The Center for Youth Mental Health champions the change needed to close the gap in the mental health care system that neglects adolescents and young adults. The center develops age-specific research and resources, collaborating with community providers to strengthen practices and transforming the system to ensure adolescents and young adults have access to the targeted support and treatment they deserve.
2. Therapy for Teenagers
- Therapy is imperative for any human to prosper in good a state of mental health and to allow a foundation of communication to be built for a person’s mental health struggles. Some teenagers/young adults can not afford the costs of therapy due to low socio-economic backgrounds or other circumstances. Funds donated to the Sam Sees Foundation will minimize the costs of therapy for teenagers who struggle with their mental health.
3. Free Bouquet of Flowers To A Family In Need
- Sincerely, Sam is a program created to give back to families who have just suffered from the loss of teen suicide. Through donations, a bouquet of flowers and a card is sent to a family in need to boost spirits and remind them that someone is thinking of them with kind regards.
