Virginia Beach Friends School is installing rain gardens on their property, which will help reduce the negative impacts of stormwater runoff while creating a beautiful habitat for insects and birds. We will need 30+ volunteers to work alongside Friends School staff and families to complete this project.
Notes:
- Please wear closed toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet, such as old sneakers or boots, no crocs or sandals
- A hat and sunscreen are recommended and a reusable water bottle (we will have extra water there)
- Gloves will also be provided but if you have a pair you prefer feel free to bring those

LRNow engages volunteers in all of the ways it works to protect and restore Virginia Beach's waterways.
