Care for the Homeless is hosting a Policy Seminar on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at the CUNY Graduate Center located at 365 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016 in the Elebash Recital Hall. We are looking for a volunteer videographer to document our Fall Policy Seminar, which will focus on federal funding streams for homelessness initiatives. We ask for a commitment for the length of the program, which will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We would also ask that the videographer use their own equipment. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! We are grateful for your interest and support.
For our event, we are expecting about 180 people. Our attendees are coming from non-profit organizations, service providers, government offices, educational institutions, and advocacy entities.
We would do a couple planning calls together to discuss how we hope to best document the event. We would like the video to include a continuous shot of the entire seminar and then some candid moments from the break between panels.
We are happy to provide you with any information you might need regarding the event. We look forward to working with you!

Mission Statement
Care For the Homeless fights homelessness by delivering high-quality and client-centered health care, human services and shelter to homeless individuals and families, and by advocating for policies to ameliorate, prevent and end homelessness.
Description
Care For the Homeless (CFH) has met the medical, mental, and behavioral health care needs of people experiencing homelessness in New York City since 1985
We currently operate 25 health care delivery sites throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. We have plans to open more in the near future.
The majority of our service sites are co-located at facilities operated by other non-profits. These sites include shelters for single adults and families as well as assessment centers and soup kitchens. In addition, our community-based health center model brings services directly to neighborhoods where the need is most significant. Both models reduce the barriers that homeless New Yorkers regularly face in an increasingly complex health care system as well as increase access to high quality health care. Regardless of an individual’s ability to pay, all services are always provided.
