Partners, The Safe House, Essex County Family Justice Center, Family Service League, YWCA of Union County, and the Passaic County Domestic and Sexual Violence Center, in collaboration with one another, are hosting an upcoming event, Spooky Strides for Strength: 5K and Walk Against Domestic Violence, on October 27, 2024 at South Mountain.
Spooky Strides for Strength is more than just a fundraising event, it's a symbol of solidarity and support for survivors and their families. By participating, our community not only raises vital funds but also raises awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence and the urgent need for resources and support services.
Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, bib assignments, t-shirt hand out, greeting guests, and 5k event logistics and facilitation. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, gain valuable experience in event planning and management, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about the mission.
All volunteers will be asked to arrive between 6am and 7am depending on their role. Volunteers will be provided with training and support to ensure that you feel confident and prepared for your role throughout the event.
