For our annual United in Service campaign, The Mission Continues Service Platoons across the country have organized service projects for veterans and local volunteers to come together, make an impact in their community, and honor those who served and sacrificed in the wake of 9/11.
The Jacksonville Service Platoon is on a mission to help beautify and clean up the Historic Springfield district but we need your superhero powers to make this happen! Get ready to grab a trash bag and gloves, roll up your sleeves and dive in for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and the spirit of beautification with Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) Council along with Springfield Cleanup Corps.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or a dedicated community member, your participation will make a difference. Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. The Mission Continues will be providing free lunch/snacks to all volunteers.
Please note that all volunteers are required to complete registration and waiver on The Mission Continues event page before September 21st. To find the TMC event page, copy and paste this url in your browser: https://www.missioncontinues.org/event/details?id=a1lWP000000zSXF
This is more than just volunteer work-it's a chance to connect with others, reflect on the significance of 9/11, and make a lasting impact in our community. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special!
