Merit Hospice is recruiting Veteran Volunteers to work with Veteran Hospice Patients!

Veterans Volunteers have a unique ability to relate and connect with hospice patients during their end of life journey. It is Merit Hospice's goal to build a thriving Veteran Volunteer program!

We need your help! If you are interested in volunteering for any of the following, please reach out:

-Companionship to patients and caregivers

-A We Honor Veterans (WHV) Program leadership role and helping us to become a Level 5 WHV Hospice (www.wehonorveterans.org)

-Assist with Veteran Community Outreach to ensure veterans are knowledgeable about VA benefits they are entilted to; assistance with resources and education on end of life care through VA and community resources!

Requirements: Compassionate and Ethical; complete applications process (18 years+; Auto-insurance; TB test, at no cost; pass a background check); complete volunteer training. Scheduling is very flexible once onboarding is complete.
