DC Veteran Engagement Team (DCVET):

The DC Veteran Engagement Team (DCVET) comprises veterans, veteran caregivers, and stakeholders addressing veteran issues within the community. This volunteer team provides strategic guidance to advance AARP’s veteran outreach and advocacy efforts in the District. The group convenes quarterly and participates in community events that support veterans and their caregivers. Outreach activities are conducted at both general events with a significant veteran presence and veteran-specific events. Advocacy issues are identified during quarterly meetings and are incorporated into AARP DC’s annual advocacy initiatives.
