Looking for an experienced sailor, experience working with young adults in an educational setting is desirable, to join Spaulding's weekly youth sailing program. Low commitment; 1-day a week for 2-4 hours. This position will aide the sailing instructor to provide safe, and fun, sailing on the SF Bay for 5-6 students.

No certifications are necessary. CPR, First-Aid, Lifeguard, or Level 1 Sailing Certificates are a bonus. Perks to volunteering at Spaulding: credit towards events/classes hosted at Spaulding and credit towards boatyard services.

Description

Located in the heart of Sausalito’s waterfront, Spaulding Marine Center (SMC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, sharing, and celebrating the area’s rich history as a boatyard and education center. With its 20,000 sq. ft. working wooden facility, historically significant sailboats, and skilled craftspeople, SMC offers a wealth of educational programs and community events designed to connect people of all ages to the Bay Area’s maritime history, historic sailing vessels, and the art of wooden boatbuilding.
