Oversee athletic leagues/events under the direction of the Site Supervisor. You will guide and manage the men in the New Life Program who are participating in our yard games/leagues/brackets such as can jam, basketball, corn hole, etc. You will encourage participation, sportsmanship and team building amongst the participants and plan game activities, assist with set-up and tear-down, manage brackets, record wins and losses, and communicate with the Site Supervisor. By sharing your enthusiasm of yard games and being outdoors, you provide the opportunity for our men to spend free time in a healthy, creative outlet, which is key to successful recovery.

About Denver Rescue Mission

Location:

6090 Smith Rd, Denver, CO 80216, US

Mission Statement

Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive self-sufficient citizens.

Description

Founded in 1892, Denver Rescue Mission is the oldest full-service Christian charity serving the poor and needy in the Rocky Mountain region.

Lawrence Street Shelter is our most recognizable location because of the neon "Jesus Saves" sign on the corner of the building. Services at this location include shelter (up to 315 men nightly), medical services and relational and emotional support for those experiencing homelessness.

The Crossing provides a long-term New Life Program location for men; the STAR Transitional Program for homeless families and single men and women with children; and temporary housing for New Life Program graduates, interns and visitors.

48th Avenue Center, in partnership with the City of Denver, the Mission operates this shelter location throughout the year. Along with nightly beds for men, this location operates 24/7, offering three meals a day, restrooms, and access to various support services.
