Albanian and/or Russian Translator Needed for Senior Center Event

Oye Group in collaboration with City Meals on Wheels, Musical Theatre Factory and Dementia Spring will be hosting an event with food, music, and art for the CASC Older Adult Center in Staten Island. We will also be sharing resources and care packages to the community. As the community holds a variety of people from different backgrounds, we require 1-2 volunteers who can support with translation and communication to the residents.
MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK RUSSIAN AND/OR ALBANIAN FLUENTLY
A plus if you have experience working with older adults/in senior centers.
Selected volunteers will need to send an up to date resume and have a quick phone call with our team prior to the event discuss support.

THE YEAR WAS 2012, AND OUR FOUNDER/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR WAS HOSTING A READING FOR HIS DEBUT POETRY BOOK. THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY, AND LOVE THAT WAS PRESENT ON THAT DAY WAS ENOUGH TO SPARK AN IDEA FOR CREATING A PLATFORM THAT HOLDS SPACE FOR BUSHWICK LOCALS BOTH NATIVE AND IMMIGRANT TO COME TOGETHER AND LEARN, PLAY, AND GROW THROUGH ARTS AND EDUCATION. 4 FESTIVALS, HUNDREDS OF WORKSHOPS AND 2 SCHOOL PROGRAMS LATER THAT IDEA HAS BECOME ¡OYE! GROUP.
