Sacred Spaces Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underserved communities by providing essential resources and fostering a sense of community and empowerment. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic needs, and our programs are designed to offer support where it is most needed.

One of our key initiatives is the SSC Clothing Network, a program that provides clothing resources to families, men, and women at no charge. We aim to ensure that individuals in our community have access to quality clothing, helping them maintain dignity and confidence during challenging times.

We are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team and help secure funding for our programs, particularly the SSC Clothing Network. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission, strong writing skills, and an understanding of grant writing and research. As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will be instrumental in helping us secure the resources needed to continue and expand our work.

• Research: Identify and research potential grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs, specifically for the SSC Clothing Network.
• Proposal Writing: Write and develop compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
• Grant Reporting: Assist in preparing reports for existing grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director, Program Managers, and other team members to gather information and craft accurate, persuasive narratives.
• Database Management: Maintain records of all grant submissions, deadlines, and correspondence in our grant management system.
• Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with grant funders and other potential donors.

• Writing Skills: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear, structured, and persuasive proposals.
• Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in writing and editing documents.
• Experience: Previous experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Passion: A strong commitment to our mission and values.
