Education plays a key role in our society. It helps shape children's minds and develop our future leaders. We are looking for passionate individuals who are vested in impacting our future through the education of students. The Governance Board Program is recruiting dynamic individuals that are interested in making an impact in their community by serving as a Board Member of their local charter schools governing boards. Governing board members meet with school leadership to help the school meet its mission and vision. Through this opportunity individuals will be provided with appropriate training and support needed to successfully fill the role of a charter school governing board member. Candidates will then be has matched to a school in their community and they will continue to receive support to ensure they are transitioning to the new role appropriately.

The Charter Support Unit is a free service dedicated to supporting public charter schools.
Description
The Charter Support Unit is funded by federal and philanthropic grants to expand quality school choice. The Charter Support Unit offers a variety of useful resources and customized advice to charter leaders and governing boards. The CSU is operated by Building Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting public charter schools.
One of the many resources available to charter schools is the Governance Board Program. The goal of this initiative is to recruit dynamic community members with a vast array of expertise and skills to serve as Governing board members on their local Charter School Boards. This service helps promote community engagement while assisting schools meet their mission and visions.
