Volunteer in one of the Bay Area's most beautiful buildings!! Help us prepare for our upcoming Silent Auction fundraiser in one or more ways. There are myriad tasks and opportunities to assist in preparing for this event, such as: cataloging donations, uploading donation images and info to auction site, acknowledging donors, researching donated items; helping distribute promotional materials and information; assisting with Auction set up; live event support (check-in, monitor, check-out, assist patrons, etc. at the actual event); general office help; Auction follow-up after the event. Your help will be critical to our success!

Note: Some of these tasks can be done remotely after an initial meeting at/with the Conservancy.

About BERKELEY CITY CLUB CONSERVANCY

Location:

2315 DURANT AVE., Flower Room, Berkeley, CA 94704, US

Mission Statement

The Berkeley City Club Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the historic Berkeley City Club building and to promoting the legacy of Julia Morgan, its extraordinary architect.

Description

Housed in the breathtaking Berkeley City Club (originally the "Berkeley Women's City Club") the Conservancy is responsible for sharing and preserving this landmarked local treasure. Built at the same time as Julia Morgan was designing Hearst Castle, the 2 buildings share many similarities, and visitors touring the building will learn about what's beyond what they can see. Ms. Morgan was a trailblazing woman of her time, and we are honored to be able to share her legacy with the public, through public and private tours and events. We are currently on a campaign to raise funds to restore the pool windows to their original, leaded glass, diamond-paned glory! Silent Auction/Dinner Fundraiser coming up on October 15, 2024!
