Mission Statement

Maternal and Infant mortality rates are unnecessarily high. The mission of Love Delivers is to show the beauty and benefits of natural birth thereby reducing the fear and interventions which lead to unsatisfactory childbirth outcomes. We produce birth videos, host events, screenings and photo shoots to empower pregnant women, reduce anxiety and create community.

Description

Love Delivers was organized in 1998 as Sage Femme when our first two films, BIRTH DAY and MISS MARGARET, were produced. We partner with birth activists, families and filmmakers to produce films which nourish the soul while exploring simple. sacred and natural birth. Today, with Blackalicious as our partner, we are producing a film documenting the homebirth of Nia Mosley. The birth was 16 years ago. Nia and her family have a lot to share since then. Love Delivers continues to host screenings of our film MISS MARGARET. The next one is at The African American Museum and Library in Oakland October 12, 2024. In 2025, we hope to provide more Families and Birthing Centers our films.
