Volunteer Job Posting: Fundraising Lead

Organization Overview:

Friends of the Community Learning Center (CLC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Community Learning Center in Cambridge. We raise funds and awareness to ensure the CLC can continue offering free educational programs to adults. These programs empower individuals to learn English, enhance literacy skills, earn high school credentials, become U.S. citizens, or prepare for college and careers.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial leader to guide our fundraising efforts. The Fundraising Lead will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative strategies to secure the financial resources needed to support adult basic education and immigrant services. We welcome candidates with diverse experiences, approaches, and backgrounds who are eager to explore new fundraising opportunities, whether through events, grants, or other creative avenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore and develop fundraising strategies, including events, grant applications, and individual giving campaigns.
  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives, with the flexibility to introduce new ideas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the board to set and refine fundraising goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the organization’s fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fundraising, especially on non-profit boards, with a successful track record.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for adult education and immigrant support.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and networking skills.
  • Open to candidates from various backgrounds and with different approaches to fundraising.
