United Way of Hunterdon County is seeking a dynamic and professional Community Engagement Coordinator Volunteer. This volunteer role is crucial in fostering a welcoming environment for community members, particularly those in the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and elderly populations. The Community Engagement Coordinator Volunteer will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, answering walk-in questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate staff members. In addition, this role involves supporting our community outreach efforts, including fundraising correspondence and donor relations, as well as supporting the center’s administrative and programming needs.
This volunteer will report to a staff member and be responsible for the following:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a warm welcome and assisting with inquiries.
Address questions from community members, with a particular focus on supporting ALICE and elderly populations.
Coordinate outreach efforts, including drafting and sending fundraising correspondence and thank-you letters to donors.
Assist with on-site programs by providing logistical and administrative support.
Organize and procure materials needed for the center’s activities and events.
Support the entire both the center and leadership site in administrative functions including answering phones , scheduling, filing, and other tasks as required.
