Position Summary:
The Global Birthday Project is seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Leader to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our global initiatives aimed at celebrating and empowering underprivileged children and communities through birthday events and related programs. The Program Leader will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program, from strategic planning and resource management to team coordination and program evaluation. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is dedicated to making a positive impact on children's lives and has strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:Program Management:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and management of the Global Birthday Project's programs, ensuring that they align with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each program initiative.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of birthday events and related activities across various regions, ensuring that all events are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
- Work closely with local and international partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of volunteers, interns, and regional coordinators to support the program's operations.
- Provide leadership and direction to the program team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Represent the Global Birthday Project at meetings, conferences, and events to promote the program and expand its reach.
- Collaborate with the communications team to create and distribute promotional materials and updates related to program activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of the program initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to measure program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on program progress, challenges, and achievements.
Resource Management:
- Identify and secure resources, including funding, in-kind donations, and volunteers, to support program activities.
- Manage program budgets and ensure that all expenditures are aligned with organizational policies and financial guidelines.
- Oversee the procurement and distribution of materials and supplies needed for birthday events and related programs.
Innovation and Development:
- Stay informed of trends and best practices in program management, child welfare, and community development.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion, innovation, and new partnerships.
- Lead the development of new initiatives and pilot projects that align with the Global Birthday Project’s mission.
