Do you have a well-behaved, groomed pet who is comfortable around strangers?

Enhabit Hospice is looking for individuals who can take our services to the next level by taking a furry friend along with them to visit our patients and their families. This can include (but is not limited to) visiting with patients in their home setting/at a facility, providing companionship by listening to patient's stories and engaging in their interests, helping our hospice team understand the needs of the patient and family, and - of course - brightening everyone's day with your pet!

In order for your pet to qualify for this opportunity, they will need to have recieved obedience training, have updated shot records, and obtain a certificate of good health from a licensed veterinarian.

No experience with hospice? No problem! In our orientation process, we will educate you on our goals and values so you can work with our team to bring the best care and comfort possible to our patients.

About Enhabit Hospice

Location:

42 Bruyer Way, Kalispell, MT 59901, US

Mission Statement

At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

Description

Enhabit is looking for a volunteer to provide support for patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
