Embrace the enchantment of fall at Webster Pond with Dirt Corps and Trees for Seattle! Discover the fascinating world of fungi and their incredible contributions to the health of our urban forests. Join us as we work together to protect and restore this beautiful park, ensuring a thriving ecosystem for all its inhabitants.
All skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so everyone is encouraged to bring rain gear if the weather forecast says chance of rain. We’ll be providing the tools, snacks and water. Bring work gloves if you have them, and we’ll have some folks can borrow as well. We hope you’ll join us!

Description
The Duwamish Infrastructure Restoration Training Corps (DIRT Corps) was established in South Seattle in 2015 as a community partnership program to provide on-the-job training for adult workers, specifically encouraging women, people of color, LGBT, and veterans to enroll. The program provides hands-on training with a focus on rain garden and cistern design/build, operations and maintenance, vegetation management, and ecological restoration. We also provide turnkey services in Urban Forestry, Green Infrastructure, and Ecological Restoration.
