Recruiting Organization: MEND-Meet Each Need with Dignity
Description of Duties: The Registration volunteer is a crucial function of Pathways to Wellness daily activities and is the first contact most participants will make. Volunteers are responsible for daily set up and operations of the registration and activity check-in process. This includes greeting MEND participants, checking in/out participants, and acting as the overall activity information center.
Impact: The Pathways to Wellness volunteer plays an important role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for all staff, participants and visitors that come to MEND.
Specific Responsibilities: The Registration volunteer will compile information from participants at check-in/out such as name, MEND ID, phone number, and family size. Registration volunteers will assist new MEND participants with registration forms and ensure all sections and waiver signatures are collected. Volunteers will assist with handing out information flyers, activity calendars, and workshop surveys and will have a general knowledge of the occurring activities Pathways to Wellness is hosting.
Skills/Experience/Resources/Certifications Needed: Bilingual, customer service, time-efficient, previous experience in working with low income and minority community. Must be comfortable speaking with different racial and ethnic groups. Must demonstrate cultural competence and be sensitive to vulnerable populations.
Dress Code: Dress in a way that allows for comfort, flexibility, and functionality. Wear clean and appropriate clothing that contributes to a professional appearance. Wear closed toes shoes.
Time Commitment: Wednesdays and Fridays 8am-11am.
