We have several volunteer positions for our Job Search Program:
Job Search Open Lab Career Center
Engage and support a job search participant one-on-one to identify their next step in the job search journey. The volunteer will receive resources to assist in identifying the next steps needed. The shift is two hours with five ½ hour slots for each participant.
Job Search Teams Meeting
Lead a group hour-long session for Job Search participants to share information, ideas, and brainstorming strategies to land employment.
60-second Elevator Speech
Work with Job Search participants to help them make a professional introduction. Listen and provide feedback on elevator speeches. Presentation materials provided.
Lasting Impressions
A group two-hour workshop held once a month. Guide women in reflecting on their recent job search experiences to discover ways to make a stronger, more positive impact on potential employers.

The mission of the Professional Women's Group (PWG) is to provide employed Dress for Success women the partnership of support, practical information and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in career and life. Our Women Veterans Program brings together women facing unique challenges for networking, comradery, and growth. We have proudly served over 47,000 women since 1998 including 1,700 Veterans.
Description
Founded in the summer of 1998 by Nancy Levicki and Susie Cunningham, Dress for Success Houston has grown from serving three non-profit member organizations to serving over 180 non-profit sites in the Houston Metropolitan area. DFSH has suited thousands of women, reflecting the overwhelming need in the Houston community. An independent 501(c) (3) corporation registered in the state of Texas, Dress for Success Houston is part of a world-wide network and is an affiliate to over 125 Dress for Success organizations.

- Each shift is two hours, on either a Tue/Wed/Thur during the day. There is no minimum number of hours. Volunteer as you are able!
