Special Olympics Florida is excited be hosting the State Swimming Championships in Sebastian, Florida on September 28th & 29th

Hundreds of athletes from across the state will be competing and we need your help to make it a success! Special Olympics Florida replies almost exclusively on volunteers and cannot do what we do without you.

Volunteers will assist with the following tasks:

  • Serve as timers for competition.
  • Distribute results between the pool, competition HQ and awards locations.
  • Assist with distributing lunch to volunteers and participants
  • Assist with preparing and presenting awards.

No knowledge of the sport is required and all training will be provided on-site. Volunteers should be at least 11 years old and all volunteers under 14 must be accompanied with a parent/guardian for the duration of the volunteer shift.

All volunteers will receive a volunteer T-shirt as well as lunch during their shift. A record of community service hours can be provided if requested.
