GoodBot

GoodBot is an interdisciplinary community of socially-minded professionals working in law, technology, design, social sciences, and policy. Our purpose is to support the development of trusted, accountable, and socially sustainable technology ecosystems by strengthening awareness, research, policy, and practice.

We offer professional services to help technology companies develop and embed measurable social impact strategies into their products and business models and help them navigate a complex and rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

We also develop original research on emerging innovation, technology risks and harms, and approaches needed to effectively govern technology and build toward healthy and inclusive digital societies that benefit everyone.

Position Overview

GoodBot is seeking a motivated and experienced Policy Team Lead to join our team. The Policy TL will be responsible for developing and overseeing our policy initiatives, ensuring that they align with GoodBot's mission and goals. This role involves leading a team of volunteers and conducting policy research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee in-depth research on relevant social and technological issues.

  • Develop and implement strategies to advocate for policy changes, including preparing reports, position papers, and other materials to support advocacy efforts.

  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and coherence in written content, adhering to the GoodBot voice

  • Leading a team of volunteers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure successful project completion.

  • Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to ensure a comprehensive report.

Requirements

  • Experience in policy development, public policy, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of social issues, public policy, and advocacy strategies.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Experience in leading and managing a team.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, volunteer-driven environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
