Position Overview: EmpowerHer is seeking a talented and passionate Blog Writer to join our team. The Blog Writer will be responsible for creating engaging, informative, and inspiring content that aligns with our mission and resonates with our audience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about women's issues, enjoys writing, and has a knack for crafting compelling stories that can spark conversations and drive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Write and develop high-quality blog posts on topics related to women's empowerment, gender equality, mental health, education, and other relevant issues.
- Research: Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to ensure accuracy and relevance of content. Stay updated on current trends, news, and issues affecting women and girls.
- Storytelling: Use storytelling techniques to create engaging narratives that highlight the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of women and girls.
- SEO Optimization: Implement basic SEO practices in blog posts to enhance visibility and reach.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the content team, program directors, and other stakeholders to ensure content aligns with EmpowerHer's goals and initiatives.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, and consistency. Ensure all content meets EmpowerHer’s quality standards.
- Content Calendar: Contribute to the planning and scheduling of blog posts in alignment with the organization's content calendar.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments and feedback on blog posts to foster community engagement.
