The Gearing Towards Engineering Foundation is looking for a Chief Financial Officer. The volunteer could anticipate a time commitment of up to six executive meetings a year as well 1-3 hours of as-needed support a month. The CFO would report directly to the foundation's CEO. The role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is to make the best financial decisions for the company based on the allocated budget.
Responsibilities include:
Financial strategy and planning: Developing and executing financial strategies to ensure the nonprofit’s sustainability, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Compliance and risk management: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and managing financial risks through appropriate controls and policies.
Reporting and analysis: Overseeing the preparation of financial reports, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making and strategy. They would recieve a foundation email and connect teams account.

The Gearing Towards Engineering Foundation’s goal is to introduce the future of our society with STEM professionals and to show how important it is as a society to invest in our future generations to come. The establishment of The Gearing Towards Engineering Foundation is to help educate and inform society’s youth on the principles of STEM education and creating both immediate and long term opportunities for those in need. Our target group is to reach out to all children, with a focus on children of inner cities who don't have the means to access these types of learning opportunities.
